Turn to the support staff at All Care Hospice and Palliative Care if you or a loved one needs help with care decisions at the end of life. Hospice care does not postpone death, instead focusing on the quality of a patient’s life. All Care Hospice is always family-focused, involving the patient and their family in the decision-making process. We aim to bridge the gap between patients, their families, and their healthcare providers to effectively meet the patient’s goals. You will always have access to care, as we provide a 24-hour service that includes access to a registered nurse 7 days a week.
Hospice care and palliative care are similar but have some important distinctions. In both cases, the goal is to manage pain and relieve our patients of their symptoms. However, in the case of hospice care, our patients do not have any curative options, while palliative care may provide certain curative options alongside. When a treatment is used to control pain and not explicitly cure an illness, it is called palliative treatment.
All Care Hospice offers palliative care to help manage the pain and symptoms of those facing serious illness and address the side effects and emotional stress of their current treatment. Patients may receive palliative care at any stage of their illness and may continue to receive curative treatment (such as chemotherapy, radiation, etc.), rehabilitation, or home care services at the same time.
Our goal is to reduce a patient’s suffering, provide ongoing treatment, and promote the best possible quality of life for those suffering serious illnesses. Our palliative care team is made up of highly-trained healthcare professionals dedicated to providing their skills, knowledge, and innate compassion to provide our patients with comfort and end-of-life dignity. Palliative care is a 24/7 care management service that can help patients get back to a higher level of comfort. Palliative care can begin as soon as a diagnosis is received, so if you think you or a loved one needs palliative care, reach out to All Care Hospice today.
We strive to provide comfort to our hospice patients and their families in times of need. Traditionally, hospice care was viewed primarily as care for late-stage cancer patients. However, the criteria for life-limiting illnesses and conditions in patients served by hospice have evolved over the years. This list includes, but is not limited to, Alzheimer's, AIDS, ALS, end-stage cancer, heart failure, liver failure, pulmonary and renal disease, and many more. Any patient with a life expectancy of 6 months or less is qualified to receive hospice care.
